Join Stir Cooking School as they host guest Peter Bowen for a romantic valentines dinner! Picture a relaxing demo cooking class with while learning from a Red Seal Chef! He will create a 5 course meal with 5 wine pairings. Peter Bowen attended the internationally renowed George Brown School in Toronto and has been a guest on morning TV, a seasonal chef at exclusive upscale restaurants, and resorts, teaches culinary arts to highschool students.

An adventurer at heart, with a passion for wilderness hiking, Peter Bowen is a certified Red Seal chef with over 25 years of experience in hospitality and culinary arts education. Bowen, who specializes in creative west coast cuisine with strong classic roots has developed menus at a variety of restaurants, resorts and catering companies, is also known as the 5 Minute Gourmet who makes cooking videos for YouTube that show the world how to create “real food, real fast!”
Peter, whose cooking style has evolved from his breadth of experience in high-end lodges, bistro restaurants and teaching culinary arts, brings a light-hearted, yet expert approach to the art of cooking.
Peter's move to the west coast as a young man provided him with a foundation, which helped him form his philosophy and approach to food. Local, organic, seasonal food with exotic elements is incorporated into both his menus and his own lifestyle.
After many years of running high-quality restaurants on Saltspring and Vancouver Island, he became a high-school culinary arts teacher in Cedar, BC. This led to his mission to “teach as many people to cook as possible.” His 5 Minute Gourmet project has led to over 100,000 views on YouTube, and Huffington Post named him one of the 10 World Class Chefs on Twitter Who Make it Sizzle. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/
